30×28 Moniter Barn – Brandenburg, KY

Project Description:

This is a 30’x28’ modular barn in the Moniter style with (2) 8’ lean-tos. This Kentucky Moniter barn was built with 4-ply 2’x6’ posts, LVL headers and 2×4 oak framing. The siding is Eastern White Pine Board and Batten Siding painted with Mountain Red and Barn White Haley paint. The roof has 3 pitch rafters on the lower section and 6 pitch rafters in the upper section. It has an architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Weatherwood color) shingles. The windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The (2) 5’x8’ center aisle roll doors, the split 6’x7’ roll door in the side wall and the 4’x7’ dutch door are manufactured by Superior Structures.

Benefits:

This modular barn has an open first floor plan with a stairway going into the loft area. The front elevation of this monitor style barn has (3) 8’x8’ carriage style overhead garage doors from CHI Overhead Doors. These overhead doors are insulated with glass, featuring a crossbuck design on the exterior of the doors to match the design of this barn.
