High Country with 10 Lean-To – Sandisfield, MA


Project Description:

This is a 32’x48’ modular horse barn in the high country style with a 10’ lean-to. This Sandisfield, MA horse barn was built with white pine board & batten siding painted with black paint manufactured by Haley Paint Company. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted white. The roof has 8 pitch rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Pewter Gray color) shingles. The windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 6’x9’ roll doors and 6’x9′ roll doors with windows and service door and sliding double loft doors and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-48 Boston Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The foundation is frost walls installed by the customer.

Benefits:

This modular horse barn has (4) 10’x12’ stalls and a 10’x12’ feed room and a 10’x24’ tack room and a 10’x12’ wash stall and a 12’x48’ center aisle. It has a full loft accessed via enclosed stairs in the tack room. One end of the loft has sliding double loft doors and the other end has a sliding window. On each end, up near the peak, is a gable vent. One end of the roof has an extended peak. The stalls are lined with 4’ high oak kick boards and have a sliding stall door with yoke into the center aisle and a sliding window in the rear. The feed room has floor and a sliding window and a service door into the center aisle. The tack room has floor and (2) sliding windows and a service door into the center aisle. The wash stall has white glass boards on the walls and is open to the center aisle. The center aisle has double sliding doors with windows in the front and double sliding doors in the rear.
