Gambrel Barn, with 10′ Lean-To- Triverto n, RI

Project Description:

This is a 36’x30’ modular horse barn in the gambrel style with 10’ lean-to. This Tiverton, RI horse barn was built with white pine board & batten siding painted with a custom color paint manufactured by Sherwin Williams. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted ceiling bright white. The roof has gambrel rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Shakewood color) shingles. The windows are insulated double-hung Endure Series windows manufactured by ProVia Windows & Doors. The european style stall fronts were manufactured by Sunset Valley Metalcraft. The 6’x11’ roll doors and 6’x11’ roll doors with windows and 4’x8’ dutch doors with window and service doors and sliding double loft doors with windows and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-32 Boston Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The foundation is a concrete pad installed by the customer.

Layout:

This modular horse barn has (3) 12’x12’ stalls and a 12’x8’ tack room and a 12’x6’ storage room and a 12’x10’ feed room and a 12’x30’ center aisle. It has a full loft accessed via stairs in the feed room. One end of the loft has sliding double loft doors with windows and the other end has an insulated double-hung window. On each end of the roof, up near the peak, is a gable vent and in the front is an extended pointed peak. The stalls are lined with floor to ceiling southern yellow pine kick boards and have european style stall fronts with a swinging stall door into the center aisle and a dutch door to the outside. The tack room has a service door into the center aisle. Part of the tack room is recessed for a small open area. The storage room has a service door into the center aisle. The feed room has an insulated double-hung window and has a 5′ wide opening to the center aisle. The center aisle has double sliding doors with windows in the front and double sliding doors in the rear. On either side of the sliding doors are extra insulated double-hung windows.
