Gambrel Barn – Purcellville, VA

Project Description:

This is a 36’x48′ modular barn with a gambrel style roof and (2) 10′ lean-tos. This Purcellville, VA gambrel style barn was built with duratemp t1-11 siding painted with clay paint maufactured by Haley Paint Company. The corner trim and window trim and door trim are painted white and the door crossbucks are painted red. It has gambrel style rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HD (Charcoal color) shingles. The windows are insulated Ply Gem Silverline Series double-hung windows provided by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The insulated service door and insulated service door with window are manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 6’x9′ roll doors with windows and 4’x7′ dutch doors with window and sliding double loft doors with window and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-37 Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas.

Benefits:

This modular barn has (4) 12’x12′ stalls and a 12’x12′ wash stall and a 12’x12′ open storage area and a 12’x12′ grooming stall and a 384 square foot L-shaped tack room and a 12’x48′ center aisle. It has a full loft accessed via stairs in the tack room. Each end of the loft has sliding double loft doors with window. A hay hole with hinged cover is positioned in the middle of the center aisle. Each gable has a gable vent up near the peak and the roof has ridge vent and an extended pointed peak at each end. The stalls are lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and have a removable stall partition and a sliding 4’x7′ stall door with yoke into the center aisle and a dutch door with window to the outside. The wash stall has white glass boards on the walls. The open storage area is open to the center aisle and has a dutch door with window to the outside. The grooming stall is lined with oak kick boards and is open to the center aisle and has a dutch door with window to the outside. Half of (1) lean-to is enclosed to form the tack room. The tack room has floor and (2) insulated double-hung windows and an insulated service door into the center aisle and an insulated service door with window to the outside under the lean-to. The center aisle has double sliding doors with windows at each end.
