High Country Barn – Brunswick, ME
Project Description:
This barn was erected in Brunswick, ME in the High Country style. The 8 pitch roof was shingled in black BP shingles. The exterior siding was clad in cedar shakes provided by SV Woodcraft. The 27” band board and trim were painted green with Haley Paint. Anderson Silverline windows were installed throughout the barn. A 9’x8’ Cambridge style garage door was installed by PDQ Door. The 9 lite insulated service doors were by Keystone Millworks. The custom made stairs were manufactured by Lezzer Lumber. Topping this beauty off is a cupola made by Creative Cupolas.
Benefits:
Some of the distinct features include a 6×6 protruding pent roof over the garage door and a 3’ overhang on the gable ends to provide protection from the elements. A 12’ overhang provides added protection. The lower level open floor plan allows ample parking space for vehicles and equipment. Custom stairs in the rear lead to a spacious second floor aided by two 18’ wide dormers on the side elevations which also provides lots of natural light.
