High Country w/ Lean-to – Warren, VT


Project Description:

This 30’ x 36’ High Country with (2) 10’ lean-tos was erected in Warren, Vermont in the High Country style. The barn has white pine board and batten siding, painted grey with Haley paint. The doors, fascia & rake board were stained caramel with Haley stain. The roof has GAF Fox Hollow Grey shingles and a cupola & patchen horse weather vane made by Creative Cupolas. The custom-made stairs were manufactured by Lezzer Lumber. The wooden window was made by Bird and Hand Windows and the doors were crafted by Appalachian Woodcrafts.

Benefits:

There are (2) 5’x9’ aisle doors with glass on each gable end. This barn has (4) 10×12 stalls with 4’x7’ Dutch doors with glass and 4’x7’ sliding wood stall doors. Each stall has stall front grills with feed holes. There is a 10×12 wash stall with glass bead walls and a 10×12 tack room with a wood floor. The L shaped stairs leading to the upstairs loft are located in the tack room. The lean-to posts were clad with 4’ pine post skirting to give the appearance of 8” posts.
