High Country with 10 Lean-To – Schwenksville, PA


Project Description:

This is a 40’x60’ modular horse barn in the high country style with a 10’ lean-to. This Schwenksville, PA horse barn was built with white pine board & batten siding. The roof has 8 pitch rafters and an insulated 28 gauge metal roof (Charcoal color) manufactured by A.B. Martin. The gutters and spouting are manufactured by Premier Spouting. The windows are single-hung wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 8’x9’ roll doors with windows and 4’x7’ dutch doors with window and service door and double swinging loft doors and double swinging loft doors with window are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-96 Boston Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The foundation is a concrete pad installed by the customer.

Layout :

This modular horse barn has (5) 12’x12’ stalls and a 12’x12’ tack room and (2) 12’x24’ open storage areas and a 16’x60’ center aisle. It has a partial loft accessed via stairs in the tack room. One end of the loft has double swinging loft doors and the other end has a railing and is open to the stalls and center aisle below. In the front gable are double swinging loft doors with window. The stalls are lined with 4’ high oak kick boards and have a sliding stall door with yoke into the center aisle and a dutch door with window to the outside. The tack room has a single-hung window and a service door into the center aisle. The (2) open storage areas form a 24’x40′ equipment storage area. One open storage area has (2) single-hung windows and is open to the center aisle and the other open storage area has (2) dutch doors with window and is open to the center aisle. The center aisle has double sliding doors with windows at each end.
