High Country with 8 Lean-To – Wittman, MD

Project Description:

This is a 36’x48’ modular horse barn in the high country style with 8’ lean-to. This Wittman, MD horse barn was built with LP SmartSide board & batten siding painted with white paint manufactured by Sherwin Williams. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted black. The roof has 8 pitch rafters and an insulated 28 gauge metal roof (custom Matte Black color) manufactured by A.B. Martin. The gutters and downspouts are manufactured by Premier Spouting. The windows are insulated double-hung Endure Series windows manufactured by ProVia Windows & Doors. The insulated service doors and insulated service door with window were manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 6’x10’ roll doors and 4’x7’ dutch doors with window and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-48 Boston Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The foundation is a concrete pad and sonotube piers installed by the customer

Layout:

This modular horse barn has (4) 12’x12’ stalls and a 12’x24’ tack room and a 12’x12’ feed room and a 12’x12’ wash stall and a 12’x48’ center aisle. It has a full loft accessed via stairs in the tack room. Each end of the loft has an insulated double-hung triple window and up near the peak is a gable vent. The stalls are lined floor to ceiling with southern yellow pine tongue and groove kick boards and have a sliding stall door into the center aisle and a dutch door with window to the outside. The tack room has an insulated double-hung window and an insulated service door to the outside and an insulated service door with window into the center aisle. The feed room has an insulated double-hung window and an insulated service door into the center aisle. The wash stall has untreated southern yellow pine tongue and groove boards on the walls and an insulated double-hung window in the rear and is open to the center aisle. The center aisle has double sliding doors at each end.
