L-Shaped Barn – Williamsport, MD


Project Description:

This is an L-shaped shed row barn with 10′ lean-to. This Willaimsport, MD L-shaped shed row barn with lean-to was built with white pine board and batten siding painted with custom color paint manufactured by Benjamin Moore. The doors are stained with bronze stain manufactured by Haley Paint Company. It has 3 pitch rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HD (Weathered Wood color) shingles. The small windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows and the larger windows are Andersen Silverline Series insulated double-hung windows provided by Bird-In-Hand Windows. The insulated fiberglass service doors with window are also manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows. The 4’x7′ dutch doors and dutch doors with window and 48″x80″ service door and service door with window are manufactured by J&N Structures. The Freedom flood vents were provided by the customer. On the roof are (3) B-24 Series cupolas manufactured by Creative Cupolas.

Benefits:

This L-shaped shed row barn has (2) 12’x24′ stalls and a 12’x10′ breeze way and a 12’x12′ stall and a 12’x12′ tack room and a 12’x16′ hay storage room. The 12’x24′ stalls are lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and have (2) dutch doors in the front and a sliding window and a dutch door with window in the rear and a middle partition installed by the customer. The breeze way has white glass boards 4′ high on the walls and is open to the front and has a sliding door in the rear. The 12’x12′ stall is lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and has a dutch door in the front and a sliding window and a dutch door with window in the rear and a sliding window in the side. The tack room has an insulated double-hung window and an insulated service door with window in both the front and the rear. The hay storage room has a service door in the front and a sliding window and a service door with window in the rear and a sliding window on the side. Near the bottom on each side are several flood vents. The lean-to offers shelter from the hot sun or rain and snow.
