Gambrel Barn with Lean-To – Lexington, NY


Project Description:

This is a 36’x60′ modular barn with (2) 10′ lean-tos with a gambrel style roof. This Lexington, NY gambrel barn was built with white pine board and batten siding painted with a custom paint color by Haley Paint Company. The window trim and door trim are painted white. The door crossbucks are painted red. It has gambrel style rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HD (Charcoal color) shingles. The small sliding wood barn sash windows and the large wood single-hung triple window are manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows. The 6’x9′ roll doors with windows and 4’x7′ dutch doors with windows and 36″x72″ double sliding loft doors with windows are built by J&N Structures. The gable vents are also made by J&N Structures. Up top is a B-48 Series vented cupola manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The foundation is a concrete pad installed by the customer.

Benefits: 

This modular barn has (10) 12’x10′ stalls and a 12’x22′ tack room and a 12’x12′ wash stall. It has a full loft on part of the barn, the rest has a 20′ wide loft over the center aisle. On one end of the loft are double sliding loft doors with windows and on the other end is a single-hung triple window with a fixed half-round window above. The loft is accessed via stairs in the tack room. The stalls have a sliding 4’x7′ stall door and a dutch door with window. The tack room has (2) service doors and (2) windows. The wash stall has a window and white glassboard on the walls. The roof features extended pointed peaks on each end. A small pent roof covers the aisle on each end.
