Modular Barn – Milford, CT


Project Description:

This is a 36’x36′ modular barn in the trailside style. This New Milford, CT trailside barn was built with white pine board and batten siding painted with white paint manufactured by Haley Paint Company. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted blue. It has 3 pitch rafters with 6 pitch rafters over the center and an architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HD (Weathered Wood color) shingles. The copper gutters and downspouts are manufactured by Premier Spouting Design. The windows are insulated double-hung Silverline Series windows with screen manufactured by Ply Gem and provided by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The insulated service doors are manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 6’x8′ roll doors with windows and 48″x80″ dutch doors with window and 36″x80″ reversed dutch door with window and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-37 Series cupola with window and horse weathervane manufactured by Creative Cupolas.

Benefits:

This modular barn has (4) 12’x12′ stalls and (2) 12’x12′ storage rooms and a 12’x36′ center aisle. The stalls are lined with floor-to-ceiling southern yellow pine kickboards and have a sliding 4’x7′ stall door into the center aisle and a dutch door with a window to the outside. One of the stalls has a smaller reversed dutch door with a window to accommodate mini horses. The storage rooms have insulated pressure-treated floor and an insulated double-hung window and an insulated service door into the center aisle. The aisle has double sliding doors with windows at each end. Over the center aisle, the roof was raised to 6 pitch. On each end, up near the peak, is a gable vent.
