Modular Barn – Moosup, CT

Project Description:

This is a 34’x24′ modular barn in the high country style with a 10′ open lean-to and 10′ enclosed lean-to. This Moosup, CT high country barn was built with white pine board and batten siding. It has 8 pitch rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HD (Charcoal color) shingles. The windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The insulated service doors with window are also manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Window & Doors. The 5’x9′ roll doors and double 4’x7′ swinging doors and 4’x7′ dutch doors with window and loft doors and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures.

Benefits:

This modular barn has (2) 12’x12′ stalls and a 12’x14′ tack room and a 12’x10′ wash stall and a 10’x24′ center aisle. It has a full loft accessed via an enclosed stairway in the tack room. Each end of the loft has a loft door and near the front over the center aisle is a hay hole with a hinged cover. On each end, up high on the gables near the roof peak is a gable vent. The stalls are lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and have a sliding 4’x7′ stall door into the center aisle and a sliding window and a dutch door with window to the outside. The tack room has a sliding window and an insulated service door with window at the enclosed stairway and an insulated service door with window into the center aisle. Under the stairs is a closet accessed from the center aisle via a service door. The wash stall has white glass boards on the walls and is open to the center aisle. The aisle has double sliding doors at each end. In the front are extra windows on either side of the sliding doors. One lean-to is enclosed with double 4’x7′ swinging doors at one end and (2) sliding windows along the side.
