Post and Beam Garage – Greenwich, CT

Project Description:

This 24’x28’x9’ garage was erected in Greenwich, CT, featuring the post and beam style with 3 gables. True mortise and tenon construction were used to showcase the exposed beams and 3 king posts. The roof was clad with “Burnished Slate Smooth” standing seam metal, provided by Midtech Standing Seam. The B-37 cupola was manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The Haas Cambridge style garage doors were supplied and installed by Keystone Door Solutions. Custom made stairs were made by Lezzer Lumber. The wood service and roll doors were crafted by Appalachian Woodcrafts.

Benefits:

The garage is accessed by two 9’Wx8’H Cambridge Style garage doors leading to an open lower level that can be used to park vehicles. There is a wood service door with 9 lite window on the left side. The lower level has (5) 16”x20” wood sash windows providing ample light. The L-shaped stairs lead to a half loft area above. There is a 48”x48” wooden sash window in two of the gable ends.  See the floor plan for additional details.
