Shed Row Barn – Cornish, ME


Project Description:

This is a 10’x46′ shed row horse barn with a 10′ lean-to. This Cornish, ME shed row horse barn with lean-to was built with white pine board and batten siding stained with caramel stain manufactured by Haley Paint Company. It has 3 pitch rafters and an architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Hickory color) shingles. The small windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors and the large window is an insulated double-hung Silverline Series window manufactured by Ply Gem and provided by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The insulated service door was also manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 4’x7′ dutch doors and 6’x7′ sliding door and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures.

Benefits:

This shed row horse barn has (3) 10’x12′ stalls and a 10’x20′ tack room and a 10’x36′ open lean-to. Part of the lean-to is enclosed to form the tack room. The stalls are lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and have a dutch door in the front and a sliding window in the rear. The tack room has a floor and an insulated service door in the side underneath the lean-to and a sliding door on the side to the outside and an insulated double-hung window in the rear. On each end of the barn, up near the peak, are gable vents. The lean-to offers shelter from the hot sun or rain and snow.
