Shed Row Barn – Machipongo, VA
Project Description:
These are (2) 12’x72′ shedrow barns with 12′ lean-to. These Machipongo, VA shedrow barns with lean-to were built with white pine board and batten siding. They have 3 pitch rafters and an architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Charcoal color) shingles. The windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 4’x7′ dutch doors and 48″x80″ dutch doors with window and 6’x7′ sliding door and service door and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. The foundation is a concrete pad installed by the customer.
Benefits:
The one shed row barn has (6) 12’x12′ stalls and a 12’x12′ tack room and a 12’x72′ open lean-to. The stalls are lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and have a dutch door in the front underneath the lean-to and a dutch door with a window in the rear. The tack room has a service door in the front underneath the lean-to and a window in the rear. On each end of the barn, up near the peak, are gable vents. The open lean-to offers shelter from the hot sun or rain and snow. The second shed row barn has (6) 12’x12′ stalls and a 12’x24’stall and a 12’x60′ open lean-to. Part of the lean-to is enclosed to form a 12’x24′ stall. The 12’x12′ stalls are lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and have a dutch door in the front underneath the lean-to and a dutch door with a window in the rear. The 12’x24′ stall is lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and has a dutch door in the side underneath the lean-to and a sliding window in the rear and a sliding door on the other side to the outside. On each end of the barn, up near the peak, are gable vents. The lean-to offers shelter from the hot sun or rain and snow.
