Shed Row Barn with 10 Lean-To – Newtown, PA

Project Description:

This is a 12’x48′ shed row horse barn with 10′ lean-to. This Newtown, PA horse barn with lean-to was built with white pine board and batten siding stained with smoke stain manufactured by Haley Paint Company. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted black. It has 3 pitch rafters and an insulated 28 gauge metal roof (Copper Penny color) manufactured by A.B. Martin. The windows are insulated double-hung Silverline Series windows manufactured by Ply Gem and provided by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 4’x7′ mesh swinging door is manufactured by Blank’s Welding. The 4’x7′ dutch doors with windows and service doors with windows and 4’x7′ double sliding doors with windows and 72″x80″ sliding doors with windows and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-27 Boston Series cupola manufactured by Creative Cupolas. 

Benefits: 

This shed row horse barn has (2) 12’x10′ stalls and a 12’x12′ stall and a 8’x22′ & 12’x8′ tack room and a 10’x40′ open lean-to. Part of the lean-to is enclosed to form the 8’x22′ tack room. The (2) 12’x10′ stalls are lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and have a dutch door with window in the front and a insulated double-hung window in the rear. The 12’x12′ stall is lined with 4′ high oak kick boards and has double 4’x7′ sliding doors with windows in the front and a swinging grill partition to make a 12’x22′ stall if the swinging partition is open and a 4’x7′ swinging mesh door in the opposite partition and a insulated double-hung window in the rear. The 8’x22′ tack room has pressure treated floor and a service door with window in the side underneath the lean-to and (2) insulated double-hung windows in the side and a 72″x80″ sliding door with window in the rear. The 12’x8′ tack room has floor and a service door with window in the front and a insulated double-hung window in the side and a 72″x80″ sliding door with window in the rear. On each end of the barn, up near the peak, are gable vents. The lean-to offers shelter from the hot sun or rain and snow.
