36×36 Monitor — Sunderland, VT

Project Description:

This 36’ x 36’ barn was erected in Sunderland, Vermont in the Monitor style. The white pine board and batten siding was painted with Haley’s Christiana Gray and the trim was stained in Haley’s Smoke color. The 29 -gauge black metal roof was manufactured by Solid Ridge Metal. The Silverline 40”x29 horizontal vinyl windows and the 33 ¾”x48 ¾” vinyl windows were manufactured by PlyGem and provided by Bird in Hand Windows. The fiberglass door was provided by Keystone Door Solutions. All the wooden doors were crafted by Appalachian Woodcrafts. The custom made stairs were manufactured by Lezzer Lumber. The concrete slab foundation was provided by the customer. Please see the attached lower floor plan.

Benefits:

This barn is accessed by a pair of 6’x8’ wood sliding doors with glass on both the front and rear which lead to an open floor concept, providing ample space for equipment storage. The right elevation is accessible by a fiberglass service door. The custom- made stairs provide entry to the upstairs loft area.  A future 8’x12’ deck will be built by the customer to provide outside loft access.
