Double-wide Garage – Waitsfield, VT

Project Description:

This is a 24’x30′ double-wide garage. This Waitsfield, VT garage was built with white pine board and batten siding stained with smoke stain manufactured by Haley Paint Company. It has 8 pitch scissors trusses manufactured by Superior Trusses LLC and an architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Weathered Wood color) shingles. The windows are insulated Silverline Series double-hung windows with screens manufactured by Ply Gem and provided by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The insulated service door with window is manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The non-insulated 9’x8′ SRP garage doors were manufactured by General Door Corporation and installed by Monterey Door Shop. The foundation is a concrete pad with 7″ high concrete walls installed by the customer.

Benefits:

This double-wide garage has 9′ high main floor ceiling and a full second-floor loft with 8′ high walls and a sloped ceiling with scissors trusses. It has (2) garage bays, each with a non-insulated garage door in the front. Along one side is an insulated service door with a window and in the rear are (4) insulated double-hung windows. The loft is accessed via stairs. Each end of the loft has (3) insulated double-hung windows.
