Monitor Style Barn – Oakland, MD


Project Description:

This 36’x20’ barn was erected in Oakland, MD in the Monitor style. The board and batten siding are painted White with Haley paint and the barn doors are stained in the Smoke color with Haley stain. The charcoal metal roof was manufactured by Everlast Metal. The B-37 cupola was made by Creative Cupolas. The barn sash windows were produced by Bird in Hand windows. The doors were crafted by Appalachian Woodcrafts.

Benefits:

This Monitor barn has a 12’x20’ goat stall on the left side, accessible by two 4’x7’ sliding doors on the outside and two 4’ high hinged stall doors opening to the center aisle. The right side of the barn has a 12’x20’ chicken coop area that is accessible by two 4’x7’ sliding doors on the outside, as well as a 12”x16” chicken door. A wooden service door in the chicken coop provides access to the center aisle. There are two 6’x8’ sliding doors on both the front and rear gable ends. A ladder outside of the chicken coop provides access to a rear loft area.
