Monitor – Windsor, VA

Project Description:

This is a 40’x78’ modular horse barn in the monitor style. This Windsor, VA horse barn was built with LP SmartSide board & batten siding painted with white paint manufactured by Haley Paint Company. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted black. The roof has 3 pitch and 6 pitch rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Charcoal color) shingles. Two windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The other windows are insulated double-hung ProVia Endure Series windows and insulated single-hung ProVia Endure Series slider windows manufactured by ProVia Windows & Doors. The interior doors were manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 7’x8’ roll doors and 4’x3’ dutch door top sections with window and service door and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-48 Boston Series cupola and (2) B-27 Boston Series cupolas manufactured by Creative Cupolas.

Benefits:

This modular horse barn has (10) 12’x12’ stalls and a 12’x15’ tack room and a 12’x12’ wash stall and a 12’x6’ open storage area and a 11’-5″x78’ center aisle. It has a loft over the center aisle accessed via stairs in the center aisle. Each end of the loft has an insulated double-hung window and up near the peak, is a gable vent and along each side are (6) insulated single-hung sliding windows. At each end of the roof is an extended peak. The stalls are lined with 4’ high oak kick boards and chew guards and have a sliding stall door with yoke into the center aisle and a dutch door top section with window in the rear. The tack room has floor and a sliding window in the rear and a service door into the center aisle. Part of the tack room was turned into a 3’x8′ bathroom and 3’x4′ closet. The wash stall has white glass boards on the walls and has a sliding window in the rear and is open to the center aisle. The open storage area is open to the center aisle. The center aisle has double sliding doors at each end.
