Shed Row Barn with 10 Lean-To – Arrington, VA

Project Description:

This is a 10’x50′ shed row horse barn with 10′ lean-to. This Arrington, VA horse barn with lean-to was built with LP SmartSide board and batten siding painted with tan paint manufactured by Haley Paint Company. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted white. It has 3 pitch rafters and architectural shingle roof with GAF Timberline HDZ (Hickory color) shingles. The windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 4’x7′ dutch door with window and 48″x80″ dutch door with window and service door and double doors and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-37 Boston Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The foundation is a concrete pad installed by the customer.

Benefits:

This shed row horse barn has (2) 10’x10′ stalls and a 10’x10′ wash stall and a 10’x20′ storage room and a 10’x20′ equipment room and a 10’x30′ open lean-to. One end of the lean-to is enclosed to form the equipment room and the other end is closed off and has a dutch door with window. The stalls are lined with floor to ceiling southern yellow pine kick boards and have a sliding stall door in the front. One stall has a dutch door with window in the rear and the other stall has a sliding window in the rear. The wash stall has white glass boards on the walls and a sliding window in the rear. The storage room has double doors in the side and (2) sliding windows in the rear. The equipment room has a service door in the side underneath the lean-to and double doors in the other side. On each end of the barn, up near the peak, are gable vents.
