Shed Row Barn with 8 Lean-To – Shirley, MA

Project Description:

This is a 11′-6″x19′ shed row horse barn with 7′-6″ lean-to. This Shirley, MA horse barn with lean-to was built with LP SmartSide board and batten siding painted with white paint manufactured by Haley Paint Company. The corner trim and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted black. It has 3 pitch rafters and an insulated 28 gauge metal roof (Black color) manufactured by A.B. Martin. The windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 4’x7′ dutch doors with window and 48″x80″ dutch doors with window and service door with window and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-24 Boston Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas.

Benefits:

This shed row horse barn has (2) 11′-6″x9′-6″ stalls and a 7′-6″x5′ tack room and a 7′-6″x14′ open lean-to. Part of the lean-to is enclosed to form the tack room. The stalls are lined with 4′ high southern yellow pine tongue & groove kick boards and have a dutch door with window in the front and a sliding window in the side and a dutch door with window in the rear. The tack room has pressure treated floor and a service door with window in the side underneath the lean-to and a sliding window in the side. On each end of the barn, up near the peak, are gable vents. The lean-to offers shelter from the hot sun or rain and snow.
